Idaho
Virtual therapy for adults throughout Idaho, including Boise and the Treasure Valley. I work with anxiety, trauma, stress and burnout, depression, and relationship concerns using approaches including EMDR, DBR, ACT, and Positive Psychology.
Therapy for adults across Idaho
I provide online, virtual counseling for adults throughout Idaho. You don’t need to live in Boise or the Treasure Valley to work with me; sessions are available virtually to clients located anywhere in the state.
My work tends to focus on patterns that feel difficult to change through insight alone. You may understand why you react the way you do and still find yourself becoming anxious, shutting down, overthinking, repeating the same relationship dynamics, or carrying past experiences into the present.
Therapy with me is active, collaborative, and individualized. We can begin with what feels most difficult right now and decide together what kind of work is most likely to help.
What I help with
People come to therapy for many different reasons, but my work most often centers on concerns that affect the way you respond to stress, relationships, and yourself.
-
Support for overthinking, uncertainty, avoidance, reassurance-seeking, physical anxiety, and patterns that keep your mind or body on alert.
-
Therapy for low mood, loss of interest, withdrawal, exhaustion, hopelessness, and feeling disconnected from yourself or the life around you.
-
Counseling for distressing memories, heightened reactivity, persistent feelings of threat, and emotional or physical responses shaped by past experiences.
-
Working through recurring relationship patterns, communication difficulties, conflict, disconnection, boundary-setting, and challenges with trust or emotional intimacy.
-
Help with chronic stress, emotional exhaustion, irritability, difficulty slowing down, and feeling stretched beyond your capacity to manage everyday demands.
-
Exploring self-criticism, shame, perfectionism, low self-worth, difficulty trusting yourself, and patterns of seeking approval or validation from others.
Approaches I use
Different problems are maintained in different ways, so I don’t use the same approach with every client. Depending on what you’re experiencing, we may work with thoughts and behavior, process experiences that still feel active, address automatic body-based responses, or strengthen the parts of life that support wellbeing.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT helps us notice when thoughts, emotions, avoidance, or the need for certainty are narrowing your choices and supports values-guided action.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR can help process distressing experiences that continue to affect the way you feel or respond in the present.
Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)
DBR may be useful when reactions feel especially fast, automatic, or body-based and are difficult to reach through insight alone.
Positive Psychology
Positive Psychology broadens the work beyond symptom reduction by focusing on strengths, relationships, meaning, engagement, and wellbeing.

Sessions are provided by secure video and are available to adults located anywhere in Idaho at the time of the appointment. Online therapy can include traditional talk therapy as well as ACT, EMDR, and DBR when those approaches are appropriate for you.
-
No. I work virtually with clients throughout Idaho, including Boise and the Treasure Valley as well as communities across the state.
-
Yes. Both EMDR and DBR can be adapted for telehealth. We’ll talk together about whether either approach makes sense for what you’re working on and how to structure the work safely and effectively online.
-
I currently accept SelectHealth, including SAHA plans when applicable, PacificSource, and St. Luke’s Health Plan for Idaho clients.
-
Depending on your plan, you may have out-of-network benefits that reimburse part of the cost of therapy. Coverage varies, so it’s worth checking directly with your insurance company.
-
Private-pay sessions are $200 per session.
